AdBlue® — from a canister to a full tanker
AdBlue® is a 32.5% urea solution with parameters strictly defined by ISO 22241-1 — concentration, purity, conductivity and alkalinity. SCR systems are sensitive to every one of them, which is why we supply only product that meets the standard and attach a sealed batch sample to every delivery.

Storage
Frost does no harm. AdBlue freezes at −11.5°C, but that is the crystallisation point, not an expiry limit. The solution freezes and thaws as a whole — urea does not separate from water — so after thawing it has exactly the same parameters as before. Thaw it naturally, never with an open flame. Just remember that AdBlue expands by about 7% when it freezes, which is why tanks and containers are never filled to the brim.
Heat is the real enemy. Stored in a dry, ventilated place away from sunlight, at up to 25°C, it keeps its parameters for 18 months. A cooler warehouse extends that period, a hot one shortens it — the relationship is set out in the shelf-life table on the Quality & standards page.
